Know Before You Go: A Q&A About Brazilian Wax

Going to the beach and putting on your favorite bikini can be daunting if you have not had your bikini area fully waxed. You would most likely be worried about the hair down there peeking through your bikini, which is what you would want to avoid at all costs.

This is the reason bikini and Brazilian wax procedures are popular, as they eliminate all of the unwanted hair down there and keep it looking smooth for at least a couple of days or weeks. The procedure definitely is worth it despite the pain.

Today, we will give you answers on some of the questions that you might have about getting a Brazilian in Midvale.

Can you make requests?

Yes, you can, but make sure that they are valid. Remember that the aesthetician that’s handling your waxing session is a properly trained and seasoned one, so they definitely know what they are doing.

However, if you want things done a certain way or you think your request is valid and will not take so much of their time, then politely ask for it. Do not bluntly say it or make it seem like you are bossing them around, as this can be offensive to the aesthetician.

Would it be okay to take a call?

It would be much better if you decline the call for the moment and tell the caller that you will be calling them back after the procedure. However, if the call is extremely important and you have to take it, then excuse yourself and ask the aesthetician to stop for a second. Do not take too long, though, as the wax can dry up easily and also, your aesthetician might have an appointment after yours.

Can you chat with your aesthetician?

Sure, it’s okay to chat with them, but remember that you do not have to. Some people feel a little less anxious during the procedure if they chat with someone, so if you are one of those people, then go ahead and do so.

However, if you try chatting with them and you get the feeling that they do not want to talk during the procedure, then just look for other things that can distract you. You can also ask the aesthetician if they would feel comfortable talking to you during the procedure, as some of them get bored, too, and chatting with their clients actually keeps them on their feet.

How long will it take?

The procedure will not last that long, but do note that it varies from one aesthetician to the other. Your hair growth can also be a factor in this, as the longer and thicker your hair down there is, the longer the procedure will take.

Typically, a Brazilian waxing session will take about 20 to 30 minutes. Ask your aesthetician how long it will take so you can clear up your schedule for the meantime.

Listen to the aesthetician regarding your aftercare instructions. Getting a Brazilian wax makes your skin susceptible to infection, so make sure to do every single thing they tell you to do.
